Lucky Kelson
Owner/Producer/Engineer/Musician
A native of Pensacola, Florida, Lucky is a multi-talented musician who started performing professionally in the early 1960's playing the drums. In the 70's he began playing piano when he joined with his late brother Robert, who was also an accomplished drummer and pianist. Together with their younger brother as sound engineer, Albert, they formed the "Kelson Brothers' Band." They played the local venues and did extensive touring across the south. Lucky plays guitar, bass, a little saxophone and flute, but is best known for his superior drum work and his artistic expression with the Grand piano and Hammond B-3 Organ . His musical influences are many. Over the years his love of music attracted him to the production side of the business and opened LuckyK in 1979 where his skills and experience have enabled him to successfully bring out the best in his clients. As a musician, engineer, producer and songwriter, he is always up to the challenge to help his artist record a superior product. His ability to coach a vocalist to sing and perform with more emotional depth is another one of his many talents .
